Won't Somebody Think Of The Children?!

Every once in a while somebody will say "Hey, can you draw something for me?" and I feel like it's the same as asking your friend, who happens to be a plumber "Can you plumb something for me?" Other times people will say "can you draw me a portrait of the cat I had growing up but with my eyes and have him floating through the air with cherry blossom petals? I want to get that tattooed on my hip", and I wonder if this person is AT ALL familiar with my work or just thinks an artist is an artist. And any halfway decent artist is willing and able to duplicate the style of any other artist.

But then sometimes I get a request where I feel like I really get to just have fun, and hopefully make something likable in the process.

My cousin recently got in touch with me about an art auction she and her husband chair called Corks & Canvas, benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Billings, MT. I was thrilled that she asked me to donate a piece.  I was further excited when asking if something geared toward children woud be a good idea was met with a 'yes!'

Here it is: Slow Ride.

My super talented friend Alan Topp also agreed to donate a print to the event!
